OUR HISTORY
SMBS - Stella Maris Boarding School was founded on 1st, June 2004 at Koodaranhi, about 30 kms from Calicut by Stella Maris Educational and Charitable Trust, the Trust to provide high quality education to students residing all around India.
It is recognized by the Govt. of Kerala and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi with affiliation No: CBSE/AFF/930860.
SMBS runs classes from kindergarten to std X and plans to upgrade into a full-fledged senior secondary school in the ensuring years. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi and Malayalam are offered as 2nd and 3rd languages. We also provide extra emphasis to foreign languages such as German & French.
Our Highlights
Education in Stella Maris is through participation and interaction, making it much alive and meaningful. With teachers as an adobe of knowledge and wisdom, imparting knowledge here becomes an art. We provide a place for joyful learning.
Extra-curricular activities includes chess, Roller Skating, Martial Arts, Music and Instrumental Music, Dance, Football Coaching under Kerala Blasters Sporthood Academy and so on. Year around training sessions like Personality Development Programmes, Counselling, Motivational and Mind Mastering Coaching contribute to the multifaceted development of the child.
We also provides remedial coaching to those students who need an extra push to reach the forefront in academics. For Hosteller’s, we also provides an extra tuition facility with expert tutors which helps a lot to expand their knowledge by developing self-confidence.
Entirely furnished hostel with a seperate bed and wardrobe has made available for each inmate. The hostel life is structured so as to nurture self-reliance, tolerance, confidence and harmony among the students.
